Keeping an eye on your horse’s health is very important as most owners know. At Donaldson’s, our equine team are able to perform routine dental treatments through to more advanced procedures.

Horses’ teeth continuously erupt and should naturally wear down by chewing. There are, however, many reasons why your horses’ teeth my not wear correctly. This maybe due to diet, anatomical flaws or age. Left unchecked, this can cause spurs or sharp edges to form resulting in pain and discomfort for your horse.

It is recommended that a horse has a dental check up at least every 12 months with older horses receiving a dental exam every 6 months.
